Troubleshooting Tip: I Have Grounds in my Cup
Published 5/2/18
If you are getting grounds in your cup after brewer it means coffee grounds may have gathered in the exit needle of your Keurig® brewer.
To clean the needle, follow these steps:
Step 1: Remove and clean the exit needle in accordance with the following cleaning instructions. USE CAUTION. NEEDLES ARE SHARP!
Step 2: Perform a small-cup water only brew and look for any grounds coming out.
Step 3: Repeat water only brews to clear out any residual grounds.
If you have not done so recently, it is also recommended that you descale your brewer. Please refer to the following instructions on the descaling process:
If you are using the My K-Cup® Reusable Coffee Filter, please make sure that you are using a course-drip. You should only fill the mesh basket to the bottom of the brown band, which is approximately 2.5 Tbsp.
If grounds in cup only occurs when using a specific type of beverage (pod), please call our Customer Service team for further assistance at 1-866-901-BREW(2739)
Thank You for your feedback.
